Makers of comedy, lifestyle, and documentary series, NorthSouth is one of the world’s most trusted content creators. They’ve successfully navigated the ever-changing media landscape for over two decades by putting talent and creators first. This talent-led approach has yielded long-running series and created household names, including Impractical Jokers, 100 Day Dream Home, and Say Yes to the Dress - Atlanta.


The Impractical Jokers cast (Murr, Sal, and Q) has grown into a global comedy force with hit TV shows in eighty countries and a live tour that sells out Madison Square Garden and London’s O2 arena.


Now, their premium documentary division, NoSo Films, is partnering with a select group of filmmakers on series that probe the human experience in all its complexity. Their collaborations include series executive produced by Richard Linklater, trans actor and activist Indya Moore, and the award winning filmmaker Pailin Weidel.


In 2012, founder Charlie DeBevoise sold half of NorthSouth to Hearst Media, one of the largest privately owned media companies in the world.

OUR TEAM

Charlie founded NorthSouth in October 2000 and describes the essence of his work as "professional enabler." He has a masochistic love of development and couldn't imagine a better way to go crazy. He recently launched NoSo Films, a premium doc division. In 2012, he sold half the company to media giant, Hearst.

CHARLIE DEBEVOISE

CEO/Executive Producer

Marsha has been with NorthSouth since its humble beginnings and witnessed unsavory behavior during the company’s wild Miami era. She has mastered everything from x to y, but mostly z. As NorthSouth’s EVP of Operations, Marsha’s current focus is on NorthSouth people, places and policies. When not doing this, you can find her pursuing the hobby du jour which to date has included ballroom, piano, drum lessons and horseback riding.

MARSHA BALLARD

EVP, Operations

Amy has spent the last thirteen years producing unscripted, scripted, digital, and documentary content in New York City. As an in-house Executive, her role is to oversee the finances, logistics, and operations of all the companies’ projects. Her ability to handle a wide range of these at once is imperative to the ongoing success of the company. Prior to New York City she spent ten years working on feature films and scripted television in New Zealand, her birthplace.

AMY WALLACE

VP, Production

Jennifer has worked at NorthSouth as an Executive Producer, Showrunner, Director, Story Editor, and Writer—often all at once. She’s spent the last two decades traversing the country running series in Tampa, Miami, Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix, Chicago and her adopted home town of Atlanta. Among Jennifer's credits are series for HGTV, TLC, A&E, Discovery, Food, Lifetime, WE and Travel Channel.

JEN HOLBACH

EP, Head of Current

Brad has over 40 years experience watching TV, some of which he got to make. He has created and produced shows for HBO, Peacock, HGTV, Discovery+, History, Science, Food, VH1, TLC, Nickelodeon, and more. He’s worked with rockstars, Instagram stars, literal stars, cupcakes, wedding dresses, frat boys, mama’s boys, Lil Jon and Morgan Freeman. Paul McCartney once mistook him for someone that he knew.

BRAD KOHLENSTEIN

Head of Development

Margot heads up the Post Production Department in Knoxville and has worked at NorthSouth for over fifteen years. After graduating from the University of Tennessee in 2004 with a Bachelor’s in Political Science, she quickly put her degree to use by landing a job in reality television. She spends most of her time in dark edit bays supervising online edits, managing quality control, ensuring the timely delivery of shows, and juggling the ever changing schedules and deadlines of post production.

MARGOT GATTUSO

VP, Post-Production

Cassandra White is currently the Director of Development at NorthSouth. She has a background in stand up and has been with the team since 2019.

Sean, easily the most literate member of NorthSouth, has tolerated our low-brow industry since 2011 and we are thankful for that! Since then, he has largely focused on the ingest side of production, archiving, IT, and, in the earlier days, quality control. He will proofread your writing, and you shouldn't take it personally.

Media Operations Manager

Maria has been working at NorthSouth for five years where she brings exquisite order to our post world by managing media, maintaining equipment, and facilitating every need of dozens of our editors who work remotely. At the end of the day, she retreats to her home cave to play some good old fashioned Dungeons and Dragons.
